Project   Arab Diaspora Project

In the Arab Diaspora Project (2006-2007) Egyptians, Lebanese, Syrians, Tunisians and Palestinians, all living in the Netherlands, have discussed their potential contribution to democratisation in the Arab world during a conference in March 2007. After the event a board member of XX4Cs Foundation published a brochure containing profiles of the 5 communities. The printed version (€ 6,75) can be ordered by email: xx4csfoundation@alternativeview.nl . A free download is available here. Language: Dutch. Sponsored by: Alternative View, NCDO, ICCO, Cordaid, UCP.

Project   Peace Initiative Diaspora Ivory Coast

The Ivorian community in the Netherlands and XX4Cs Foundation have initiated the Peace Initiative for Ivory Coast. In November 2007 the first phase of the project was concluded: a conference for Ivorians in the Netherlands to discuss their potential positive influence on the Ivorian peace process. The second phase (2008) is a ‘peacebuilders’ training for the Ivorian Diaspora. An Ivorian diaspora working group discusses plans to  support projects in Ivory Coast. Sponsored by: NCDO, OxfamNovib.
